My humor does not align with the humor of The Naked Gun.
There were a few light laughs, but I was mostly waiting for the movie to end.

sgt1372While I own a few on DVD, I 'm not a fan of farcical comedies.
So, I've never watched the original #NakedGun & never plan to watch the remake either.
The quick release of theatrical flops like the remake of Naked Gun for streaming is becoming quite common.
I recently took a brief look at #LoveHurts ("starring" Ke Huy Quan) which was likewide quickly released for streaming on #PrimeVideo.
Unfortunately, it was yet another farce that I thought was idiotic & simply not worth my time to watch.🤷

Time was that flops like these were immediately released on #DVD (rather than after the customary 3-4 month) wait but with the change in technology & wider availability of high speed WiFi, these movies get immediately released for #streaming.
You know it's a flop when it's offered for free & they can only only make $ on the commercials & not PPV where they can make $ on both.
And fewer & fewer movies -- good or bad are being offered on DVD.
The plan seems to be to phase out DVDs entirely but like LPs there will always be a market for physical media but unfortunately, like LPs, DVDs will become more even expensive to buy, if/when you can find a movie that you want to add to a collection.
My ace in the hole as a DVD collector is to buy a "streaming to DVD" copy program, but they're expensive because they you have to pay for separate modules for different media channels, but I'm ready to buy one when it becomes absolutely necessary.
