I started using #stevia to sweeten my teas. At first I got a box of stevia packets from the store. There are 2 problems with the packets. First: 1 packet contains equivalent sweetness to 2 tsp of sugar, which is too much for me. 2nd problem is that the packets are cut with #erythritol, which has been shown to increase blood clotting, stroke, heart attack and death. The solution is to get pure stevia in a dropper. Each drop is like 1/4 tsp sugar, no erythritol, tastes better, cheaper.
#tea

@thezerobit that might be a good way for me to try stevia. I've had stevia-sweetened candies and liked them just fine but the powder tastes gross to me.

Right now I use sucralose, and I dunno if it's me or the way it's cut, but it takes a loooot of sucralose to get my coffee/tea/whatever to my taste

I think the powder tastes gross maybe because of the added erythritol. I'm getting a better experience with the drops. That said, I use around 5 drops which is like 1 tsp of sugar of sweetness, so a stronger concentration might not taste great.
