@jsnell the fact that this is coming back mid-OS cycle is kind of incredible; I would have assumed we'd have to wait till iPadOS 27.

@harpaa01 @jsnell Has there been any public statement, or leaks, indicating why it went down this way?

I wonder if they were like “well we don’t need that anymore now that there’s windowing” and then realized a lot of people still wanted it…

Or, was the removal just due to fallout from other changes, and was never meant to be permanent?

@dmnelson @harpaa01 noooope, not a word. My speculation is they tossed it out because it was old and didn't realize people used it
