Today I continued a project for the upcoming #39C3
I'm preparing a vending machine where you can get a kit for a morse code transmitter-thingy.
The kit is divided into three boxes:
1. ESP32
2. piezo speaker, TRS breakout board, jumper wires
3. 2x16 LCD
I tried to build paper boxes but failed. @dc1tc suggested 3D-printed ones. I tried and they work perfectly!
The vending machine is 43 years old and operates completely mechanically. It still works like a charm.
I'm working on designing the front of the vending machine. I opted for a comic style design explaining the kit and how to operate the machine itself. Not finished yet. But... I love it already!
I'll add a folding aluminum frame to the front, so I can swap the sign easily for other events or kits. Size is A3.
Update: Today I mounted a folding frame that holds the instructions to the front of the vending machine. I corrected the offset of the coin slot cutout in the drawing to the final position. Now only the upper part of the poster is missing.
I think I never had a project for the #congress ready in mid October. 🤔
