spherulitic@bastianallgeier correlated — the main feature of the economy in the late 19th and early 20th century was a boom-and-bust cycle with bubbles growing and popping, culminating in the roaring 20s and the Depression. Regulations were put into place to prevent these cycles — banning things like stock buybacks — until the 80s and 90s. Once they were repealed, our boom-and-bust cycles resumed. It’s entirely predictable.

Syd@bastianallgeier I came to the conclusion, that you can't solve local Problems with global ecting monoloths of companies. IT should be as regional as your Local electrician, maxbe a bit more, but not whatever we do as a society rn.
