Every time I ask people digital #accessibility conferences they name some. When I present my requirements: high quality, in person, great community, no sales talks, in Europe, the list thins itself almost out of existence.

A-Tag and what else?

@MoritzGlantz Everyone wants to be accessible, but nobody wants to put in the effort or the money to pay for it... That reflects on the available conferences.
@lexLohr I am not so sure about that. Businesses that are faced with legal obligations are very much motivated to put in the work. I am missing something like a @btconf for #a11y. I missed the last border:none unfortunately… (@jkphl )
@MoritzGlantz @btconf @jkphl The legal obligation only covers the minimum. That's nothing you need a conference for.
@MoritzGlantz @lexLohr @jkphl runs the #ally Club Summit and events that purely cover these topics. I usually always have some talks, but theirs was two days full of accessibikity talks.
@MoritzGlantz I would like to humbly suggest the @a11yclub events, such as the last Summit in May (which you unfortunately couldn't attend — https://accessibility.club/event/accessibility-club-summit-2025) or the Hamburg meetup in September, initiated by Josefine Schaefer & @sweckenmann. I am currently back at the THWS in Würzburg, and chances are good that we will be able to host it here again next year.
Accessibility Club Summit 2025

2-day community summit for developers, designers & accessibility enthusiasts, jointly run by a11y meetups from all over Europe · May 24th-25th · Würzburg, Germany

@jkphl @a11yclub @sweckenmann Yeah, I missed that one too…
Thanks for the reminder!
