Beautiful colourful Mexico City!
(From last weekend)
Ah indulge me a few more pics. I had such a blast in Mexico City. Just the sheer joy and carefree feel (and greenery I think too) and colors - last Sunday in Coyoacán 💞
I mean the sheer joy in this college kids face! They were showing off their work on some sort of propulsion to the public there at the Sunday market and raising money for entering some international science/engineering competitition.
Contributed a small bit and wished him the best, said I didn't need an explanation but he came back so excited to tell us that it's carbon fiber ("I know you know what it is but I wanted to show you")
And that was right after we caught the end of the dancers from Vera Cruz.
What a day! (Earlier that morning before the drive to coyoacan was menudo/pancita for breakfast)
Those are serious rockets! My daughter (who has traveled a lot) said she had some of the best sushi she’s ever had in Mexico City. No oceans nearby. She was down there to kayak.
@wa7iut I so want to go back. I didn't get to try any seafood there this short trip. I've heard it's great. They have a huge fish market that I want to visit too. (2nd largest after Toyosu in Tokyo!)
In a country full of churches, a few stand out. One of the most opulent and beautiful churches in Mexico is in Coyoacán, one of the oldest churches in DF. San Juan Bautista, first constructed in 1522. One of the most splended altars I have ever seen
