@josephcox And that's, I'm sure, the main motivation of Google's plans to require even apps installed outside play store to have Google verified developer accounts.

They claim it is about security, but it is all about the ability to block unwanted apps completely.

@josephcox I would love to find a copy of the APK to sideload - does not seem available on their website at the moment - I'd love to try loading it, or at least having the option without BigCorp/BigGov permission.
Any ideas where a legit copy may be found ?
