#FungiFriday Photos from earlier this week.

I think these guys are Panthercaps, Amanita pantherina.

There are several similar looking ones on iNaturalist, but only the Panthercap had the white frill bit on the stem..

@herissonrose The red I'm not convinced these are panthercaps. My suggestion would be Amanita rubescens because of the reddening stem, the colour of the cap spots, and the hanging ring. Panthercaps do not turn red, have white cap spots and the ring is very narrow.

For some reason, it's not coming up on iNaturalist. When I search "Amanita rubescens" none found.

But when I use a search engine, plenty of results..

I didn't know about the pink blush, next time I walk that way I'll test one 😁
