The British Transport Police (BTP) says it will not investigate bike thefts outside stations where the bicycle has been left for more than two hours.

>20 years ago my car was taken from the car park at work. The police 'found' it a week later but only because it was on double yellow lines outside some flats and one of the occupants had reported it to them. It had been there all week without them noticing.
