Whether one agrees with Comey's politics is no more relevant right now than whether one likes Kimmel's jokes. This isn't about substance to Trump. He's going after them as trophies, as a demonstration that if he can take them down, the rest of us better not cross him.
@mattblaze Absolutely. But we can also laugh at Comey for helping get this 🤡 elected, too.
@mattblaze True. And also Comey and Bolton are corrupt and may have committed crimes, which makes them ideal targets for the Trump regime.

@mattblaze

The difference is that Comey refuses to acknowledge that, and will keep pretending that all the normal rules still apply.

Noble tragic ending for him, sure, but the a-hole will leave *us* with a worse authoritarian society that he refused to get his hands dirty fighting.

@jztusk I get that you don’t like Comey, but I fail to see how his “pretending that the normal rules apply” is either supported by facts or will leave us worse off.

He’s the victim of a terrible abuse of power, whether you like him or not.

@mattblaze

I don't really dislike him - he really does seem like an ethical, tragic character. He is just inadequate for the times that he has found himself in.

@mattblaze they are being sacrificed on the infernal altar of his massive snowflake ego.
@mattblaze It's even worse. They have successfully brainwashed their base to believe that only US Citizens had freedom of speech in the US and a right to due process.
As result many green card holders delete their social posts and stop completely criticizing that government in fear that "they can rescind my green card when I criticize them" and so they obey. Ruling by fear. Horribly to watch.
