Sometimes I see people who are surprised the latest iPhone is actually thicker than the one that came before. It might surprise you to hear iPhones have been getting thicker for 11 years.

With the exception of the iPhone 12 Pro, the best iPhone has been getting thicker or staying the same every year since 2014's iPhone 6.

Here's the year over year percentage change in thickness.

the iPhone 4, 5, and 6 were big years for thinning things down, but it's been a slow upward climb (minus the 12 Pro) ever since.
