Finally! The Poles have had it with the Russian clown, and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski tells the Kremlin,

"You have been warned."

— Meaning from now on, Poland will fire at Russian aircraft.

@randahl this is highly diplomatic language. He does not state that Poland will shoot at every aircraft but he warns that Poland might shoot.
Without strong support of NATO (including the US) Poland can not choose the open threat to retaliate against every incursion into it's airspace.
Europe must do more for it's own defence and we need more airdefence systems and aircrafts and drones and cruise missiles and so on.
I fear that all the money we spend there is needed to fight climate change..
@kriky @randahl Nobody will fight climate change when Russia and other dictators take over.
@MeKobi @randahl and this way of thinking is our problem. We can't see several big crisis at once, we concentrate on one and we prefer the ones where we are able to discern good and bad players, bigger looming problems with difficult solutions are not so sexy. We push them away and we think that we can take care of it later.
There would be a lot of solutions which could tackle both problems. E.g.If you invest in renewable energy sources in Europe we might not be that dependent on dictator's oil.
@kriky @randahl oh, absolutely, we need to be able to do more than one thing. Chew gum and walk as they say in the USA

@kriky @randahl If Poland cannot respond to Russians firing weapons at their country, then what's the point of having air defense systems?

There's only one answer: shoot them down.
