I wish more developers that with cross platform games that include really well made iPad versions would simply allow those to be installed on Macs.. it’s literally one checkbox and your game will behave identical and might even run with more performance.

Notnloooking at #Jaggex and their still intel-only clients for #OSRS and #RS3..

@heals I'm not sure what you're asking for. The mobile UI native on desktop? The default clients are available on each desktop OS. Why play rs with a mobile UI on desktop when there is a UI *designed* for the platform?

@Peacefulz the OSRS UI has minimal differences between the iPad and Desktop version. (RS3 is more customisable but the iPad UI still works great on desktop) and both have better performance than the official clients as well as HDOS and RuneLite..

And why would I for these two specifically? Because both desktop clients run at crippled speeds while jaggex just refuses to release a native ARM version since there’s support for intel binary emulation on macOS (at least for another year)

My post was more about: if you don’t plan to make a macOS native version but you do have a native tablet version then allow that to be installed; it’s fully supported by the OS and stores and all it takes is one click.

@heals Gotcha. I can't fault you for that. I've never been an apple user personally so I didn't realize the intricacies. In that case, I'm inclined to agree with you. There are some things left to be desired, such as F Key functionality when you have a keyboard connected, but that's an easy fix.
@Peacefulz I also fully agree on using a native client with a UI designed for the platform if one is available ofc!
