Just signed up for #unPAved in a few weeks. It’s a gravel race out around mechanicsburg that is apparently a big ole party. I haven’t done this specific event before, but I have done a couple similar rides that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed. But as far as I can tell this is _the_ big #gravel ride in PA.
Waited too long and paid full price (not cheap :/) for the camping/bikepacking option. Hope the weather holds up.

That elevation profile is going to be a thing. The bike packing option lets you spread it out over 2 days. Realistically, I’ll probably be doing the 100 miler or one of the shorter options. A 40/60 or 40/30 split sounds great.
Did a ~75 mile ride today to as a prep ride/ benchmark with a couple friends. I have some things that I can do different but the last 10ish miles I was crashing out pretty hard. Going to not use a frame bag because it just makes it harder to get to my water bottles. Handlebar bag seems the way to go. My quads kept threatening to seize up a bit at the end.
But the full 55 miles day one + 75 to get to the 130 doesn’t seem like the best for where I’m at. I’ll figure it out.
