@ArmouredWizard Dhara's band of families newly move into Infridd where they're looking to settle in after their last place flooded. As they negotiate with the communities in the area, one of the things at the top of their list is obviously building new solar and wind infrastructure for their energy needs. They're willing to trade their agricultural knowledge and goods for it, but to their surprise, the new neighbors won't simply sell the parts or send engineers for food and staff exchange: They only share the sun and wind with family, Dhara and the others are told, that is groups joined by marriage ties.

As they huddle with the others to discuss this new turn of events, Dhara can't help but be intrigued and increasingly charmed at the prospect of settling, like really settling down here. Unable to stop thinking about Markos, the sun coordinator of the neighboring comm with feathered locs and a slow smile, Dhara finds they are not alone in being open, even excited at the idea of finding mates among their new neighbors. Can love and courtship happen in time for new panels and turbines to spring up? As a superstorm like the one that destroyed the band's last home creeps up on the area, will the new settlement and budding feelings survive the onslaught?
