With the Open Security Conference coming up, it's time to gather the topics you're most interested in! 📋

As this is an Open Space conference, we're all co-creating the program just in time at the event together. It's your chance to...

✳️ dry run a talk
✳️ test a workshop concept you're having
✳️ ask for help on anything
✳️ pull for someone else sharing their experience on a topic you're keen to learn more about
✳️ practice anything hands-on together
...

...
✳️ bring up any security / socio-technical / social / ethical / you name it questions you'd like to discuss
✳️ share your pet projects and hobbies

- and anything else that comes to your mind! We're already curious what #osco25 will bring. 💡

osco 2024 Recap

Welcome to the Open Security Conference (osco), the people-centred international gathering for everyone interested in cybersecurity. Join us 4-6 October 2024 in Rückersbach, Germany.

Open Security Conference

@OSCo
I will bring #SecurityGames with me.

So, if you want to try it a playful approach to #CyberSecurity there will be sessions of games like Elevation of Privilege, Cornucopia et all

#osco25

@OSCo

#osco25 session idea:

Develop your own CyberSec game

I would like to develop a #Cybersecurity / #SocialEngineering game to foster a playful approach to increase the awareness of attack methods. And enable the participants to recognize and prevent phishing or social engineering attach. Both in your personal and your job context.

I would be delighted to talk or develop other game ideas as well

Related: There is currently the CyberSec Game Challenge (Deadline 10th October 2025)

https://cybersecgames.com/pages/the-cybersec-game-challenge

They will help you to develop and produce your game

Judges of the challenge include @adamshostack, @klausagnoletti, @sydseter, and some more who are not here

Maybe we can participate with what we develop

The CyberSec Game Challenge

Build trust, shape a culture and kick start conversations. Physical games for in person threat modelling, training and fun.

CyberSec Games

@OSCo
Another idea for #osco25 which requires some preparation and support from others

I propose a #BookTable

Bring books which you like, consider important or recommend.
We put them on a table for others to see them, page through them, add their own and start discussions.

SO bring your books 🙂

Writing this post and in preparation for the table I'm just thinking of what books to bring. And currently there are no #CyberSecurity books on my list 😮

It seem I need recommendations 😜
