These Charter Superintendents Are Some of the Highest Paid in Texas. Their Districts Are Among the Lowest Performing.

Three charter school districts in Texas underreported the compensation paid to their top leaders. The same three districts have also had failing or near-failing performance ratings in recent years.

@ProPublica No more charter schools, no more private schools or charter schools siphoning off public funds. No more religion in schools.
@ProPublica Religion ConArtistservativism at its Finast= a SCAM
@ProPublica Yeah, when government gives private companies money to provide public services the companies will *always *skim some of that money away for profits. Even non-profit companies will skim money off for the bosses salaries. *ALWAYS.*
@ProPublica If it's got the word "faith" in its name you can lay down good odds that it's corrupt to the core.
@crazyeddie @ProPublica "Faith" and "Family". I'm surprised that a red cent made it to the kids.

@ProPublica

Wherever publicly funded private/charter schools are allowed, grifters are soon to follow.

It was the same with the ECOT schools in Ohio. Complete disaster. https://www.dispatch.com/story/news/2022/06/28/ecot-owes-ohio-117-million-state-money-improperly-received/7756058001/

Closed online charter school owes $117M to state of Ohio, auditor says

A new state audit found that the Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow, a defunct online charter school, owes Ohio more than $117 million.

@ProPublica It's never EVER what's good for the kids with these people. Every act is either a cash grab or building up to a cash grab
@ProPublica thanks for covering this! They haven’t gotten the media attention recently but there’s a reason the #anotherdayanothercharterscandal used to be popular on the old birdsite
@ProPublica Texas charter schools are the worst. The ones in Houston “accept all students” but by the end of three months they expel poor performers to juice their numbers so they look more successful instead of just educating high performers. And this is before all the transfer-of-wealth voucher programs that Abbott passed. So glad I got the fuck out of can’t-keep-the-lights-on Texas.
