Lenticular fun for the whole family! 🕶️
These lenticular protest posters / giant stickers are so much better in a larger size. They have a much stronger sense of visual depth, too. It’s… kinda disturbing. As it should be. 🕶️
@codinghorror I wished these were cheap enough to mass produce and sticker-spam!

@kkarhan

Because lenticular printing is difficult and has a high reject rate. The two images have to be in perfect registration.

@codinghorror

@david @codinghorror I know...

The closest to that I could do is "pliseé-prints" where it's effect is less fluid and one can obviously see the two options.

  • Plus it's way thicker and less convincing as effect...
@kkarhan all you need is one billionaire on board to put on the sunglasses. Ideally all of them. 🕶️
@codinghorror I am so ready to buy these. Shocked they aren’t available

@codinghorror

Back in the day I had a whole bunch of posters like this of Lenin, but Soviet realism did a much better job of posters, at least.

@codinghorror I'd love to find out where they are printing these so I can try printing some of my animations up too. I reached out to the folks who make these, but haven't heard a reply back.
@docpop it's linked in my own reply chain to my own post, here: https://infosec.exchange/@codinghorror/115199667144824376

@codinghorror Hm. UV Inkjet could work. Still expensive though 🤔
@codinghorror this is super badass
@codinghorror did you 3D print that rubix cube? Stickers look fantastic!

@codinghorror "Lenticular stickers which change from an image of Donald Trump with the text Make America Great Again to a zombie surrounded by Obey and Make Billionaires Even Richer" would be better alt text! "An assortment of lenticular stickers on a kitchen table" is true but rather misses the point.

Also, TIL that those things are called Lenticular :)

@lisa_gaud there are particular words I won't type for any purpose or obligation, ever
@lisa_gaud @codinghorror There are also *lenticular* clouds, weirdly flat, like skipping stones, usually high up in mountainous areas, caused by humidity. Worth doing a search.
