The two-party system is broken. The #GOP is #authoritarian and the #Democrats are too weak.
Should we think about a new party that supports giving working people a living wage, and gives people time to care for their personal lives - families, education, healthcare, etc?
What about a Labor party?

As long as we have #FirstPastThePost elections in the U.S., a left third party can only split the left vote and help #fascists get elected. And then we can forget about democracy itself, not just the luxury of a left third party.
I say this as someone who spent 25 years in a left third party.
In the short run, which is all we have, the #Democratic Party is the only pro-democracy party that can win. I'll support Democrats in primaries who favor #RankedChoiceVoting.

When there are no longer masked ICE thugs kidnapping my neighbors and people going on TV musing about murdering the homeless and mentally ill with impunity I'll consider branching out, but for the time being I'm a de facto Democrat.
And, yeah, I too want ranked choice voting. I think a lot of us on the periphery can agree with that.
Here in Iowa, the Republican state government has outlawed ranked choice voting, which tells you pretty much everything you need to know.

Libertarian party will never be taken serious because of ppl who want to own nuclear weapons and that one guy who wears a shoe on his head.
Green party appears to just be Jill Stien every 4 years.
