DSB’s Talgo coach sets for the EuroCity between Copenhagen - Hamburg are now approved! Select departures will use the new sets this autumn, and it seems regular service with the 8 delivered sets will run from the timetable change this year 🙌

Nye EuroCity-togvogne godkendt til passagerdrift

@stefanlindbohm DSB nailing it as usual on English translations for international passengers! /s

In all seriousness, that's great news for #CrossBorderRail with bicycles, incidentally I just published today a page for Denmark explaining how the direct Conpehagen-Hamburg trains currently don't take bicycles* and what to do instead: https://cycling-on-rails.com/train-bicycle-guide/denmark/#germany

*Even packed as luggage with the wheels removed. I tried and got rejected by DB staff in Hamburg.

@stefanlindbohm And there will also be a few direct Copenhagen-Hamburg-Berlin-Prague trains by ČD from next spring, using the modern ComfortJet also featured in my fresh update of today: https://cycling-on-rails.com/train-bicycle-guide/czechia/#comfortjet

All in all great progress upcoming for #CrossBorderRail #CyclingOnRails!

(On English translations, DSB got grilled - rightfully so - for not providing one on their bicycle information page by the ECF report "Cyclists Love Trains" https://ecf.com/media/ecf%20at%20velo-city/CLT/Cyclists%20Love%20Trains%202025%20Report.pdf)
@cycling_on_rails Indeed great news! Also the restarted Aurora night train between Malmö/Copenhagen - Basel in April. It’s a good year of news for us Scandinavians 🙌
