In August 2025, Kirk also accused a Black Democratic lawmaker of being part of an "attempt to eliminate the white population".
Kirk made numerous controversial remarks on race. He denied the existence of systemic racism, called white privilege a "racist idea," and characterized the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as a "huge mistake". He also criticized Martin Luther King Jr., calling him "awful".
Kirk openly embraced Christian nationalist language, claiming that freedom was only possible with a Christian population. He also stated that there is "no separation of church and state" and that it was a "fabrication".
Kirk drew criticism for derogatory remarks toward the LGBTQ+ and Muslim communities. For example, he likened Islam's Prophet Muhammad to a sex offender and claimed in April 2025 that Islam was "at odds" with Western values.

Continuing his work would mean continuing his effort to force everyone who isn't a right wing cis white male out of the workforce and public life. Of course that would suit Gavin Newsome just fine. Less competition for his coveted presidential bid and more homeless folks to steal tents from.
