There's no day like a new pen day.

After five months of debating whether to try Lamy's after the Aubergine and Denim colour schemes matches characters I was working on, I finally caved. I was aided by Cult pens including them and the new Dark Dusk edition in the 3 for 2 sale.

I inked up the Dark Dusk with the included cartridge to try and I've enjoyed it so far. I've heard Lamy's EFs can be nearly unusably dry, but so far the EF Dark Dusk one has worked perfectly for me. Normal writing and sketching is good, plus it might even be the best reverse nib I've tried yet. I'll see if that holds up with the other two or when I put Diamine in them. I'll also see what they are like when I get stub nibs and converters for them in future.

(These are all EFs)

@Ellyrieve-LVK I just inked up an AL-Star with F nib but it seems scratchy to me. I've ordered a Z52 nib to see if that's any smoother.
Mine (black z50 nib I think) defo has some feedback but I'd say it's lightly pencil-ish rather than scratchy. It feels slightly smoother than a Kaweco EF nib.

Hopefully the new nib works when you receive it too. Otherwise it might be worth playing around with inks too? Inking up with Diamine cleared up the issues I had with my Kaweco EFs (albeit I have yet to test whether the same smoothing effect applies to the Lamys)
