zenkat@Daojoan Well, tech is still our best hope of fixing the climate. Solar, wind, and battery tech, that is. It's now undeniably cheaper than hydrocarbons and the build-out is accelerating exponentially.
But AI tech? Yeah, absolutely not helping. Not only does it burn massive amounts of energy, but we don't need artificial intelligence to tell us what we already know -- to fix the climate you need to burn less oil.
