I'm watching a non-colorized version tonight.
It's time for the "weirdest visitor the Earth has ever seen!" Press play, it's a short one tonight! Go! Go! Go!
Hmmm ... opens with a pan out from the left eye of the MGM lion - wasn't that used in another of our Monsterdon movies recently?
What an interesting choice of font. With my glasses off I thought those were little poppies or hearts.
Cue the over-used lightning bolt!
From the California coast to a miniature that looks like the aftermath of the Color out of Space ... and a dry voiceover!
A Cablegram, even!
Planet X is rushing towards Earth - passing perilously close in three weeks. Tidal waves, etc. expected.
Our fishing village is a soundstage with a painted backdrop. I love it!
Open car doors is for lesser men. Real men leap over the door, at least when there's an open top ...
Coffee adjacent - we have hot tea!
What an amazing non-descript planet
The Hound of the Baskervilles makes a cameo!
Mysterious lightning!
Mystereous rocket-shaped prop found! Perhaps a giant's lawn dart?
Wow - now the fishing village has a street and actual buildings!
Love how the car stirs up all the dry ice fog on the set.
Big Daddy Lawn Dart has been sighted, thanks to the party lights inside.
And here's the Man From Planet X!
"I know you're not given to hysteria, my dear ..."
The scientist is not improving.
Heh - does this movie come before or after Invaders From Mars, with that hill, path and fence?
The Giant Lawn Dart is transforming!
The Red Bull Inn! And, the car is still just sitting in the middle of the road, in a puddle of dry ice fog.
The village of Bury will be the closest point on Earth when Planet X passes, sixty hours from now!
So, the Giant Lawn Dart is supposed to look like a diving bell?
Hey - the Lawn Dart's lights are on again. Our heroes attempt to vandalize the Dart by scratching their initials into it with a diamond that they happen to carry.
The Man From Planet X forgot to turn on his air supply. Our heroes do it for him, despite being threatened with some sort of alient tube-gun.
We are now at the pantomime portion of our film.
He's right behind me, isn't he?
