I always love creative protests.

That's a wrap for my first LO shift of the day and it is a very protesty day.

The sign echoes calls to boycott South Africa, a boycott that held until Nelson Mandela was released in 1990.

Protest 2 at CRA is wrapped.

Rolling protests are the way to go, really.
By the time cops arrive at one, people are on their way to the next one.

Granted, this happened because a lot of Days of Action coincided, but:
Two thumbs up ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ

Should absolutely plan to make this a thing.

Onto the next.

Action 4 just wrapped.
There is an action 5, but it seems low-risk, I hope, and I am hag-zausted.

Gonna post some other footage, but this is me being me.

Wee wee wee!

Today's multiple shorter protests certainly demonstrated the promise of pop-up protests. They were all organized by different groups, but this definitely could be a thing.

The two that were either regularly scheduled or publicly announced were the only ones with timely police presence.

The close proximity of the latter two undoubtedly accounted for the extra cops at the earlier of the two, where normally there are like three cops.

Somewhat surprised by the paucity of cops at Indigo, but there were likely more staged close by. The Court Services van certainly appeared shortly after the wrap.

Heather did warrant actual "brass" appearing, though. Fucking Toe Beard. That shall evermore be his nickname.

The fifth action of the day (yesterday) produced some wild juxtapositions.

Videos were projected on the side of the Bell Lightbox itself and the Scotiabank theatre.

Cops threatened people with mischief and *vandalism* for projecting on a building, demonstrating why I tell people that cops are gonna overcharge and know full well that that shit won't hold up in court.

The process IS the punishment.

And I would love to announce what we're working on as pertains to the subject, but I would also like to avoid having the "I have a weird, rabid stalker" conversation with yet another org for as long as possible.

It would be weird, though unlikely, to warn someone about the stanky duo, and not have them brain hamster another org into the Great Unifying #CAHNspiracy

@Gigi The video captures an outdoor film screening at night, projected onto a large screen on the side of a building. The screen displays a scene from a film featuring a child in a white shirt, with subtitles that read, "I am the line with you, my dear," followed by, "When someone shows up you can hang up, deal?" and "Please, can you come pick me up?" The setting is urban, with a bustling street scene below, including people walking and a performer in a blue costume. The building's facade is illuminated, and a banner for the Toronto International Film Festival is visible. The video transitions from the film projection to the lively street scene, highlighting the contrast between the cinematic experience and the vibrant city atmosphere.

@Gigi The video captures a scene in an urban setting, featuring a group of police officers on bicycles gathered in front of a large glass storefront. The officers are dressed in black uniforms and helmets, with some holding their bicycles and others standing nearby. A prominent advertisement on the glass window displays a person holding a bag of 'Becel Buttercrisps' snacks, with the text 'Becel Buttercrisps' visible.

Throughout the video, various pedestrians walk past the group of officers. One individual, wearing a blue hoodie, black shorts, and a backpack, walks from left to right, passing by the officers. Another person, dressed in a light pink shirt and dark pants, walks in the opposite direction. A woman in a black jacket and jeans also walks past the officers, carrying a white plastic bag.

The background includes a building with a 'zara' sign, and the scene is set on a paved area with a tree visible on the right side. The video maintains a consistent urban atmosphere, with the officers remaining stationary and the pedestrians continuing to pass by, creating a dynamic yet orderly scene.
