Lyle, a walking haunted houseIn the (very short) run up to #Silksong this week, I'm dipping back in for at least a partial playthrough of #HollowKnight. I'm shocked at how much muscle memory I've retained after having not played it for almost 2 years, how quickly I've picked it back up, and once again how stunning the art style is.

However 1. at one point I lost my button bindings, and that’s really hard to get back right, because you play a bit, something feels wrong, but you think it’s because you forgot the controls, and now you have two conflicting sets of controls, the ones from the long term muscle memory, and the ones you just built into short term muscle memory. Just like when someone messes up the adjustment of your office chair: you know it’s wrong but you can’t get it just right. >>
@x1101 And 2. I had totally forgotten about nail arts, spells other than the basic black flame, and stealing soul from enemies, so I was just unwittingly playing in low skills mode.
