So #Belgium and other states now are pressuring the last pocket of armed palestinian resistance with the recognition of #Palestine. In the meantime #Lebanon is disarming groups on they soil.

The logic is so off. It suggests that the reasons #Israel is genocidung Palestine, is because of its resistance, but everyone knows by now, that the 7th of October was for the fascists in the government of Israel was the perfect argument, the perfect cover, to finally go over to a full expulsion of the palestinians.

The bluff of many European states to say "they will soon recognise Palestine" has only emboldened Israel to speed up their process to make sure that this will never happen. It has proven by no means that it is making Israel stop its #genocide.

Why? Because it has ZERO material consequences. What is worth the recognition of a state that has no livability, that doesn't even exist because it's infrastructure is destroyed, it's people expelled and killed and it's leadership kept hostage or murdered.

This is not to say I am in favour of any state, but just a plane analysis of the facts surrounding states and power distribution. A state only exists there where it can exercise influence.

@LibSpring

@InternetDev if we can speak English, that would make discussion a bit easier. English isnt my native tongue either.

But, I am not sure. The whole occupation of the West-Bank, fertile lands in the region, blockading Gaza, all the extremely hard repercussions, also at civil resistance, you can call them provocations, or they are the reason to respond or push own interests.

I think it is also important to see that the palestinians have their own agency, determination, organisational power etc. There are conspiracy theories about Israel creating Hamas as if this organisation hasn't been the fruits of hard labour and intent by a Palestinian faction. I don't agree with them on the way they want, but it is ultimately racist to deny them what is their own.

@LibSpring

Je ne maîtrise pas assé l'anglais (manque de pratique) pour ça.

J'essaie de temps en temps, mais ça me rajoute du temps.

@InternetDev ok fair enough. I have to Deepl your responses 🙂
