Council only does black bin collections every three weeks. We have more rubbish than that. So, I bought a second black wheelie bin. £60 online. Painted on our house number, but added "a", e.g. 42a, put them both out for collection each time. Works a charm.

@fesshole

Better hope that no tax board wants to investigate the apartment you never formerly registered.

That said, I like the ingenuity.

Still, this fesser needs to cut back on the black waste somehow.

@MyWoolyMastadon @fesshole I'd fear TV licensing enforcement more than HMRC.
@stevel @MyWoolyMastadon @fesshole why? just tell them you don't do doorstep interviews and they should contact your media team instead, then shut the door
@jackeric @MyWoolyMastadon @fesshole for a long time TV licensing believed there was a garden flat as part of our house-and as nobody at that residence had a TV licence there was clearly a criminal there.
This nonexistent flat got a threatening letter once a fortnight. Every so often they accept the "no such address" responses and go away for a couple of years.
Not actually had them do this since Covid -maybe their records have been updated
@fesshole always check your council website first. You can order a second black bin for £36 from my local council.
@fesshole my neighbour had two bins, when they left, left one behind. I now have two.
