We ended the global health emergency, but the #COVID19 pandemic didn't end. We were told we could move on because "we have the tool." The tools:

- Wastewater monitoring so we can adjust behaviors, but most ignore it.

- Masks so we can diminish infection risk, but few will wear them.

- Vaccines so we can reduce the risk of infection and chronic infection, but 75% of you decline to get vaccinated.

It takes so little to be safer. Take care, please.

Meanwhile, here in the U.S., the man who dismissed the #pandemic to the point we were losing OVER A THOUSAND PEOPLE A DAY, gets re-elected and appoints an anti-vaccine nut who once contracted a "Brain Worm" from his compulsive eating of roadkill 😵 is now advocating we "BAN the vaccine" based on the insane belief that the vaccine (which has saved millions of lives) is more dangerous than #Covid itself. 🦇 💩 🤪

@MugsysRapSheet True, but in fairness, Biden dropped the ball and dismissed the pandemic, too. And now, we see progressives like Sanders and AOCs holding huge maskless events, even during surges. I may blame the right for a lot, but dismissing the pandemic is very much a bipartisan effort.

I don't recall Biden ever "dismissing the pandemic". Even during '24, they encouraged masking and held fewer rallies.

There was no longer the same hyper-vigilant need to protect people from #Covid in '24 that there was in 2020.

It is only b/c we are no longer seeing thousands of new infections per day in the U.S. that permits #Bernie & #AOC to host those rallies (where masking is not discouraged... or worse, mocked.)

DO NOT compare The Left to The Right on ANY issue around me.

@MugsysRapSheet Biden declared the Pandemic over, even as the virus continued to mutate and surge twice a year. He claimed we'd have a "winter of severe illness and death for the unvaccinated," well after it was known the vaccinated could be reinfected and get Long COVID.

The Left doesn't blindly support its leaders like MAGA does. We care about truth and facts. I am a hard leftie who votes Democrat, but I won't lie and pretend Biden didn't dismiss COVID dangers.

Your bar for "dismissing #Covid" seems extremely low.

Yes, vaccinated people can still catch #Covid. But that number is extraordinarily low. You have a better chance of dying from the flu.

The people you should be most upset with are #DonnieDumbass' Flying Monkeys who viewed ANY steps to control Covid an attack upon their personal liberty (only to re-elect a man who said he would be a #DictatorOnDayOne, ignoring #DueProcess, building Gulags, and putting armed troops on our streets.)
