Me upon reading some headlines about the AI bubble bursting.
@reverseics when the economy goes into the toilet again like it did after the other big bubbles burst, that won't be your expression. We all go down with this ship, including those of us who never hopped on it. Sucks.
@reverseics The sooner the better
@reverseics i wouldn't count this bubble out just yet...

@reverseics

You won't see headlines about AI bubble bursting...

Its all wishful thinking by journalists threatened by automated dross...

Same folk wrote about crypto collapse 3 years ago...
BTC is at an ATH today.

There is a certain demographic that loves to see tech fail.
When they were kids, they were the same folk eyeballs deep in PC vs Mac wars.

@n_dimension @reverseics Are you saying we won't see headlines or it wont burst? If it's the latter, would you mind sharing your reasoning? I promise I wont start a silly fight over it. Personally i think we'll see it slowly peeter out over 2+ years, probably more.

@TommyTorty10 @reverseics

Cool.
I love rational debates.

I am kinda inclined to go with you.
Enthusiasm will wane.
Trillions will drop to billions.
But the tech will stay.

It is genuinely useful.
The folks who don't think so, are usually folks who never tried the tech or tried it 3 models ago and stopped.

Is it ethical or good for humans?
Clearly it's not, but since when has that stopped a tech rollout?

We won't see AI "bubble burst"
IMHO.

@n_dimension @TommyTorty10 @reverseics I also don't think the Bubble will burst. I just hope all these Managers and Execs finally stop talking about shit they don't understand. At my prev. employer I even couldn't eat lunch without getting told "AI will replace all major SaaS companies, and I'm sure with claude we can prompt our own Jira" from my boss.

It's like 6 year olds talking about how easy it is to be an astronaut.

@reverseics now if only the same would happen for everyone's enthusiasm for fascism
@reverseics They aren't seeing returns on their AI investments but then these days they have unrealistic expectations. One can only hope that this bubble bursts with the biggest POP!
