Hey everyone! I'm back on Mastodon, reviving one of my three instances.

This time, I set it up on a powerful VPS with Docker: 20Gbit bandwidth, unlimited S3 storage in Switzerland, BunnyCDN for global reach, DNS anycast for domains, and CEPH storage for my volume.

Running it on my favorite Debian 13 Trixie, just released! The installer feels like a nostalgic trip back to Debian 4 Etch.

@Terry1032 Ja, ich chatte gerne mit dir! Mach dir bloss keine voreiligen Schlüsse, ich halte mich für keinen Experten in irgendwas 😆 Mein Hauptstack ist Symfony/PHP, also wirst du mich danach wahrscheinlich noch blockieren!

@dima Also mit PHP kenn ich mich Null aus um ehrlich zu sein, mein Wissen beginnt und ended mit Programmers are also Human‘s satire Video darüber.
Kein Grund zum blockieren.

Ich bin mehr so der Sysadmin, also konfiguriere ich lieber bereits existierende Systeme als Code zu schreiben.

@Terry1032 Hey, cool, dass du Sysadmin bist! Und was machst du so normalerweise? Etwas Komplexes wie Orchestrierung? Oder hast du auch ein eigenes Homelab? Wäre cool, mehr zu hören. Wenn ich dir bei etwas helfen kann, sag bitte, mach ich gern!

@dima Haha nein ich mache professionell tatsächlich nichts in die Richtung, ich bereite mich momentan darauf vor eine Ausbildung zum Landwirt zu machen.
Computer sind einfach nur mein Hobby aber deine Annahme dass ich ein Homelab habe lag richtig.

Wenn es von mir erfordert ist übernehme ich gerne die Rolle als IT Kerl auf meiner Arbeit aber größtenteils habe ich auf der Arbeit nichts mit PCs zu tun.
