no one told me that when you turn 30, you start accumulating a random new ailment every year that never fully goes away

what happens when you turn 40? I'm guessing it's two ailments per year

@kepano Two per year, at a minimum. Hello from 49!

@kepano you unlock the ability to pull muscles simply by existing.

The other week, I pulled one by sneezing… 🤷🏻‍♂️

@kepano @jonspark

Some weeks ago, I woke up in the middle of the night because a muscle in my upper back was cramping horribly, it was sore for about a week. I didn’t know you could throw your back out from sleeping.

@kepano an overwhelming appreciation of the fact that more than half of your life is probably in the past. Enjoy your 30s! ⏳
@kepano They grow exponentially

@kepano your 40s are about learning to live with them so that by your 50s they’re background noise you don’t think about so much

Unless you’re one of those fitness types who tries to keep pushing like you’re still 25 in which case everything breaks all the time (but that’s kinda your own fault)

@kepano Just remember: The average lifespan of someone in 1900 was 31. You're well ahead of those poor souls.
@kepano you’ll hate to hear what happens when you turn 50… 😂

@kepano

40's:

- Arthritis starts becoming a problem
- Minor injuries take way longer to heal
- Tiredness persists longer
- Brain fog says hello from time to time

@kepano As a loyal member of 30s ailment collector club you get 1 extra for free. Congratulations!
@kepano about the same plus falling asleep in the day easier
