The 12th annual international Gender Census 2025 is now open until at least 30th August 2025!

https://survey.gendercensus.com

It's for anyone whose gender (or lack thereof) isn't described by the M/F binary. It's short and easy, and results are useful in academia, business and self-advocacy.

Also, I've made a public spreadsheet sharing some non-secret data, in case you are curious to know how things are going. I update it a few times per day.

@gendercensus I am not the target audience but I was/am curious...

how goes it with the survey? got plenty of participants I hope.

@loganer Very well, and thank you for asking! About 30,000 responses so far! :)
@gendercensus I did boost, because I can see why this could help academia and self-advocacy, but what would business have use of this information for? they arent going to change their advertising tactics, unless they are aiming for enby customers anyway, but that would potentially cause them problems, at least in the US, so could you explain the business use of this information please?
@OmegaVixens Well, one obvious one is, on Facebook you can use what pronouns the site refers to you with, and some websites have gender dropdowns, and many companies provide a title dropdown when you're registering/purchasing.
@gendercensus so my question becomes how would that change with this information? those sites and services are already offering that, does this have the potential to increase the places offering gender neutral and enby specific pronouns, titles and salutations, or is this more like the US census, where its primarily for information purposes of seeing a change over time?
@OmegaVixens If someone is like "hey we want to be gender-inclusive, which pronouns and titles and genders should we put in our dropdowns?" and they do some research, they might find this project and use it to inform their system design.
@gendercensus ah, see thats what I wanted to know.. its for research purposes, not directly aimed at businesses, just available if they want to improve :) Thank you for the info.
