For those of you having feelings about the end of #GitHub (remember, git != GitHub and we always kind of knew where this is going), making your own collaborative Git platform is very possible: https://forgejo.org
Forgejo – Beyond coding. We forge.

Forgejo is a self-hosted lightweight software forge. Easy to install and low maintenance, it just does the job.

@iamkonstantin I should see how accessible this is to screen reader users. So far, GitHub is effectively the only real solution for accessibility and usability. Although they've been regressing of late.
@x0 I'll stay with GitHub untill things gets inaccessible. Better migrate all of those things from GitHub to some other places? What about NVDA?
@x0 accessibility is a very important aspect for Forgejo, they even have a dedicated accessibility team: https://codeberg.org/forgejo/governance/src/branch/main/TEAMS.md#accessibility and always activley looking for feedback on how to improve areas that may be lacking or that are currently a work in progress.

@iamkonstantin Oh that's good to know! Hopefully they'll be easier to get meaningful change from than GitHub. Much of the FOSS community takes the aspect of "doesn't work for you? Submit a PR to fix it yourself," and it's very off-putting for us who just want to be able to use the damn software. But if they actually have a team for it, that's less likely.
