"MET Police arrested and later de-arrested this gentleman after he pointed out his t-shirt supported Morph"
@rgarner UK Police in inability to read, comprehend or spell - honestly I'm not even shocked.
Especially as they arrested a gardener on his way back from his allotments, and during questioning didn't even know what an allotment was!

@robchapman Not jusk UK police…

Cops everywhere are complete, utter, reactionary and violent morons…

@rgarner

@devnull
i have to say that i actually think that policing from when I was younger to now has massively changed.
I know that UK Police are not getting the same level of training, I'll bet this is a similar story across the world.
The quality, training, and the actual suitability for holding the job is simply not there.

@rgarner

@robchapman I'm not convinced.

Where I was born, cops beat up and rob people since I was a kid. According to >60 years old people, that's nothing new.

And fucking anti-terrorist units don't give a fuck about killing hostages during raids…

And where I live now, cops have been racist fucks for decades, long before I was born they threw immigrants in river mocking them with racist slurs as they were drowning…

Noways they target and dox brown journalists, threaten them to death […]

@rgarner

@devnull
Fair enough, but that is my experience from growing up in the UK - where as you have yours.

Yes, there were Police back then who were thugs, but not all of them, where as now 99.9% are thugs and the other 0.1% won't be in the job long enough, because they job they applied for, doesn't exist anymore.

@rgarner

@robchapman I've spent most of my life in france where cops have a long history of killing immigrants during protests, and leftist unions

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1961_Paris_massacre

And keep doing of nowadays, just to lesser scale… While whining, with the far-right politicians and fascist billionaires owned media support, that "cops can't do their work" whenever someone asks for an investigation when cops kill.

Cops racism is systematic & they're always protected by their bosses. Victims families are

@rgarner

1961 Paris massacre - Wikipedia

@robchapman denied justice whenever it's about cops violence/murder commited by cops¹.

They're refused access to video footage and such. Sometimes evidence even "lost" from evidence storage (which obviously never happens en cases where the offender is not a cop…) and victims family lawyers learns that only a few years after (the prosecutor retains that information from them…)

@rgarner

@robchapman

The only difference in France nowadays, is that cops also assault, injure and kill middle class white people during protests against the gov pro-rich policy, which is also detrimental to middle class. Suddenly making cops violence news² worthy.

1. Which happends more and often since the last 10 years or so…
2. Still not by the big media owned by authoritarian bourgeoisie that litterally suggested "sending commandosā€œ against protesters, only some independent media outlets…

@rgarner

@robchapman

When antifascists peacefully broadcast a movie about dictatorship are raided and wounded by far right militia with knives screaming "Paris is nazi, Lyon as well", the racist far-right zombie, home affairs sinister³ ignores the attack for days then talks about… "stopping far-left violence"

3. Named by the pseudo-centrist party and is known for screaming "terrorism" all over the medias whenever a brown guy is involved in violent act before even the investigation starts

@devnull @robchapman @rgarner
I also live in France.
In the company of small children and elderly folk we were gassed. There was a support camp where the cops drove helicopters all night to make sure we didn't sleep.
The cops blocked the ambulance from attending a protester they had shot in the eye. He lost his eye.
They are scum.
