i have to say that i actually think that policing from when I was younger to now has massively changed.
I know that UK Police are not getting the same level of training, I'll bet this is a similar story across the world.
The quality, training, and the actual suitability for holding the job is simply not there.

Where I was born, cops beat up and rob people since I was a kid. According to >60 years old people, that's nothing new.

And where I live now, cops have been racist fucks for decades, long before I was born they threw immigrants in river mocking them with racist slurs as they were drowningā¦
Noways they target and dox brown journalists, threaten them to death [ā¦]
[ā¦] encourage other cops to assault them during protests, and beat and arrest people for being opposing climate denialism, colonialism, genocide and public services, public hospitals and healthcare defunding to give billions of public money to big corpo shareholders (who are gigantic tax fraudsters, to begin with)

Fair enough, but that is my experience from growing up in the UK - where as you have yours.
Yes, there were Police back then who were thugs, but not all of them, where as now 99.9% are thugs and the other 0.1% won't be in the job long enough, because they job they applied for, doesn't exist anymore.
