this sketch (right image) was originally made for KDE VDG issue # 46 (Fedora KDE welcome screen) in april of last year, however, because I was too nervous to present it to the developers and communicate with them, eventually someone else created a graphic and the issue was closed before I could say anything.

recently, I decided to finish it anyway, so it isn't left to collect dust in my hard drive

i'm pretty sure they would have asked me to change the entire floating objects thing if I *did* decide to add it at first, eh

the concept was just my worldbuilding project bleeding into the image

I didn't see this until now (this is my new account i'm replying from), but yep 

It's kind of fanfiction-like since it's heavily inspired by foss mascots and generally focuses on what they might do in their lives, where they live and work, how they might interact with each other, and the environment/world around them (with a few aetherpunk[?]/solarpunk/ethereal elements cause it's cool).

Takes a long time for me to write and work on things though since I have so many side projects (and low motivation most of the time, I guess)
