I was walking today and saw a window cat. I started meowing at the window cat.

All of a sudden, the owner came to the window.

She started meowing back at me. Now two humans are meowing at each other while the cat is sitting there like "wtf is wrong with you two."

@LilahTovMoon Honestly sounds like the beginning of a sapphic webcomic 🤭🩷
@LilahTovMoon "why do you want to invade Poland? ": D
@LilahTovMoon 🤣 I love the image of this in my mind.
@LilahTovMoon owning two cats I'm not entirely convinced that the assumption that the cat gives a fuck what the humans around it are doing is a safe one.

@pmb00cs @LilahTovMoon Oh, mine definitely do care. If either of them thinks they haven't been (a) fed or (b) petted recently enough, they make it known that they do care, and that I should fix this problem RIGHT MEOW.

_and_ your meowage may vary... :)

@stonebear2 @LilahTovMoon oh yes. Not getting what they want, absolutely they care. But when they're watching the world go past, like sitting in the window, they tend to care less about the behaviour of the humans around them.
@LilahTovMoon Absolutely nothing wrong with that interaction. Carry on.
@LilahTovMoon this makes me furiously happy 😄😆😆😆💜🖖
@LilahTovMoon Cat was totally internally correcting y'alls grammar.
@LilahTovMoon This is fabulous. If we all took joy in meowing at each other spontaneously just think what a better place the world would be!
@LilahTovMoon
Probably thinking, "What awful accents!"
@LilahTovMoon The cat is just an excuse, much like some adults use children as an excuse to play Lego or any other children game themselves, haha.
@LilahTovMoon my gf and I use meowing for "echo location" when we lose sight of each other in shops and such. The benefit is that everyone else goes quiet, making it easier to hear the response.
@LilahTovMoon everyone, literally everyone here, fully got the assignment. Mrrrrp. Fnord.
@LilahTovMoon I can only applaud your collective randomness!
@LilahTovMoon

Not so unusual.
I
really used to embarass my GSD - hissing, howling, growling, barking - she looked away pretending she wasn't with me.
Or maybe it was my accent?
