@marta @kallisti @somebody yes, you need to sign up somewhere, request unlock, wait two months (different for some models) and your memory will be wiped.

Sad to see xiaomi move towards that

@marta @kallisti @somebody last time i bought a xiaomi phone (2021/22) i had to verify my account t with phone number and then submit a unlock request which took an entire week for them to approve. but now i think you have to have a certain activity level in their forum to do it as well
