@Luebecko pride flags are not put up for the opposing "team". This is fine.
@sofasophia wรคre schon cool, wenn @BVG_Kampagne auch wieder auf Mastodon posten wรผrden! #weilwirdichlieben
@Techaltar @BVG_Kampagne ๐ Ganz Liebe fรผr euch, wa?
(Und ein Folgegerรคusch.)
As others explained the cons who were behind pride flag prohibition and advocating it are never going to see this because they never use public transport (in fact they're opposing it with their policies).
I think, that goes to show how much the cons have lost their touch with reality and how much they live in a parallel society.
Real people use public transport and real people embrace LGBTQ+ equality.
Fuck the cons!
@digital_bohemian @Techaltar Thereโs two groups one can target. Those in power/control (difficult as the far right donโt care), or the general public that hands the power away.
Iโd say this is a win in the second category. Itโs a positive message, isnโt in the way, and anyone complaining will look like a right old twat for being upset about paint.
Yes and personally I'm quite happily surprised about the BVG taking this stance.
If only Rio Reiser could see this. Maybe he'd even do a new version of Ton Steine Scherben's "Mensch Meier" song ๐ .
@digital_bohemian @Techaltar I think itโs important to celebrate the wins as that gives energy to get more wins.
An attitude of nothing is ever good enough and nobody is good enough of an ally drains the energy away. You want the bad people to be the irritating ones.
Imho.
Absolutely agreed. I wasn't bickering at all. I just wanted to point out that yes, the cons aren't gonna see it because they're so outlandish that not only do they oppose LGBTQ+ people but also they never ride the metro.
@digital_bohemian Also agree, my comment wasnโt directed at you but more as kind of a general commentary on the world. As in you arenโt wrong, but there is a good side to it too.
Plus hopefully more voters ride the metro. Could have a domino effect.
The cons (the sure arenโt pros!) needs to be handled in a different way. That said I think itโs important to target things. Collateral damage is a problem with these things.
Anyways. Good on the metro, well done! More of that!
@BVG_Kampagne ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป Ihr seid einfach die Besten!
I mean he said the reason he's not putting pride flags on the Parliament is that it's "not a circus tent".
His foreign politics are quite OK (he's certainly a better ally to Ukraine than his lukewarm predecessor).
But inside Germany, he is simply Trump 2.0.
Remember that Trump looked more moderate during his first term. Eroding society and democracy takes time.
Merz is doing exactly that.
This is the way.
@Techaltar
I totally understand and agree why the government in Germany doesn't wanna put pride parade flags and colors on every official Government related building.
Division of society and alienating those of the public who don't want or can relate with this.
It's one thing to be proud of someone or something, but it's a totally different story when a minority tries to force their beliefs over the majority of a country.
@kranzkrone Except that this flag does not stand for religious faith or idealism, but for the recognition of humanitarian and therefore basic human rights. Not clearly, unambiguously and openly acknowledging this is a political statement in itself. Just saying.
@moranaga
The so called Flag and its colors are a symbol of a part of society who thinks for whatever reason it's a good idea to do a parade once a year no matter if they disturb or kinda disgust other people of society with that behavior.
No, I'm not clearly or unambiguously and openly acknowledging this as is or given as totally normal in our society because this so called pride parade is a political statement of itself.
Guess I'm homophoic now because I disagree? ๐
@Techaltar @oliver
@kranzkrone To me, the first sounds suspiciously like the typical riflemen's festival parade with its feigned military attitude and flag-waving or other forms of so-called "cultivation of customs and traditions", held annually in the villages and hamlets in my home region, annoying the sh*t out of pacifists like me. Putting up with events like this is what democracy, peaceful coexistence and mutual tolerance are all about.
@moranaga
You refer to the first part of my previous Post or in general to me?๐ค
Only for clarification! ๐
@Techaltar @oliver
@kranzkrone Only for clarification: I think you got me very well from my first post already. ๐
@moranaga
No, I didn't "got you very well" from your first post already.
Otherwise, I wouldn't have asked about that.
@Techaltar @oliver
@kranzkrone That is a logical fallacy. Moreover, it is not very convincing.
@moranaga
Asking you nicely because I didn't got what or who you referring to is logical fallacy and not convincing to you?
Then tell me, how should I ask you next time?
@Techaltar @oliver
@kranzkrone As you may have guessed at this point, I can play pigeon chess pretty well too - at least better than most sea lions do.
@moranaga
In order to make it absolutely impossible, that you couldn't misunderstanding me again and in further parts of the conversation:
I'm in the Spectrum and have sometimes trouble clearly understanding what the statement of a sentence or text is.
Was that clear enough for you?
@Techaltar @oliver
@kranzkrone In that case, apologies. I'll be dialling back, but would like to ask you to choose your words a bit more carefully, too. As you may have read from the reactions of others, they come across as ambivalent, to say the least.
To answer your earlier question about the parts, I was referring to the first part of your previous post, i.e. your argument, not your person.
@Oytis
That's very telling, the way you try to frame me as a person in a certain manner and do the same with what I wrote before.
So I figure you don't actually wanna participate in a discussion with me about the topic at hand but rather frame me as someone who fits better into your view of the world.
