F/15/I’ve slowly distanced myself from political communities so now I see nonsense like this and wonder what’s going on out there.
The new Superman movie basically said don't be a shit person, people are outraged.
James Gunn said Superman is a immigrant, which he of course is.
But I guess some people thought he was born in the USA.

It used to be Truth, Justice, and Peace. That is until the US went into marketing mode and recruited all superheroes into ‘the American way’ for WW2 propaganda.
You prompted me to look up an article, and it’s an interesting history. Apparently, “the American way” didn’t actually appear in a comic until 1991. It’s almost exclusively a phrase for radio and television.
