I can confirm PBS Passport is a VERY good deal for $5/month or less if you choose an annual membership.

Thousands of hours of top notch content. 40 seasons of NOVA. Great kids programs. The new Ken Burns doc on Leonardo da Vinci is excellent.

Watch full episodes of your favorite PBS dramas, find in-depth news analysis and explore documentaries on history, science, art and more!

@GoodAaron I followed that link and it did not say anything about "passport" FYI

Is it "geofenced"?

@worik This is what it looks like for me. It does seem to route to your local PBS station — try clicking the donate link and see if it brings up more info?

@GoodAaron looks like that now

I must have bumped into a temporary outage... or fumbled

@GoodAaron

I second this. It’s tax deductible if you join annual membership.

@GoodAaron Masterpiece, News Hour, Vienna Blood, Around the World in 80 Days (w/ David Tenant). OK, I'll stop.
@GoodAaron do you know if it’s available outside the US?
@deirdres It may not be outside of a VPN — but worth it if you have one.

@GoodAaron

I'm gonna sign up.

No grown-ass irredeemable lifelong fascist racist misogynist groper imbecile criminal grifter pedo's going to tell me what I can or can't watch.

And, yeah, both PBS and NPR give back far more than they get.

@GoodAaron I subscribe to PBS Passport. The app is a little clunky, but the shows are top notch: Nova, American Experience, All Creatures Great and Small, Call the Midwife…
@GoodAaron Been giving to a few stations every year for a while now. Fuck t-Rump and the repugnant party.
@GoodAaron I signed up with my local station a few months ago. $30 a month to PBS is my best monthly expense! I smile when I see that debit on my account.

@GoodAaron thank you for the support! It’s been rough at PBS but seeing the outpouring of support helps us a lot.

Also, our PBS Kids content is always free in the US. No accounts or signs ups needed (not even Passport). It’s just free videos and games. You can find it at pbskids.org or in the various AppStores.

Finally, thank you for #StarTrekProdigy, it holds a special place in my heart!

@codecaffeine I started my career at PBS. I am a public broadcasting lifer.
@GoodAaron STRONG agree. And you get tons of great content from local PBS affiliates. Appalachian cooking and music shows. Pacific Northwest art shows. It’s a huge amount of content.
@GoodAaron we actually got a new TV primarily because our old one wouldn’t load the PBS Passport/ PBS Kids App. It’s paid for itself for sure. Also highly recommend!!

@GoodAaron As a fellow PBS Passport supporter/donor, I wholeheartedly agree. In addition to their phenomenal documentary and news offerings, they have so many art programs and music offerings. And travel and cooking programs.

Alan Cummings' Most Luxurious Trains Scotland was delightful.

The Great American Recipe is a fun take on the cooking "competition" show format that embraces multiculturalism.

There's so, so much on PBS and they need us now more than ever.

@GoodAaron PBS has the French show “Astrid”. The main character is an autistic woman and it is absolutely the best portrayal of Austism I’ve ever seen. The character is well developed and her strengths and weaknesses are dealt with openly and honestly. It’s in its 4th season because it’s just a solid, good show. It’s a police procedural, btw.

@GoodAaron

It is the best deal around for streaming, in my opinion.

@GoodAaron If PBS, in its new independent iteration, fires David Fucking Brooks, I'll buy in. But until that day comes, both NPR and PBS can fuck all the way off.
@GoodAaron If you like mystery shows, Endeavour and Grantchester are both *phenomenal!*
@GoodAaron
As a long time supporters of RMPBS, I urge anyone who is able to realize this is truly a funding emergency and we need to treat it as such. Although on a fixed income I will be treating my support, not as a normal annual fee but instead treat it like a gas or electric bill and pay regularly what I can manage. It's my quiet resistance against fascism.
