@memerman Looks like a chunky madrone! I wonder how old a tree like that is? The trunk looks 2-3' in diameter. I'd guess 70 years.

@memerman @tsupasat Arbutus for sure, they don't grow real old but can grow to 100 feet and live to 100 years. Beset by a host of issues and overall the species is declining. One of my favorites.
