@tezoatlipoca @box464 I only have I think five domains at this point. Almost all of them are used for just email at the moment, but once I finish moving I may host a blog or something. It's not really a priority for me right now.

Nope, thjey believe that the domains are an investment and that they will be able to sell them.

I can't say too much more, I don't want to call them out online, but I believe they truly believe in their vision, and they are absolutely 'too far in to give up now'.

@box464 None because when I tried to buy a domain they refused to take my money, and I have no clue which domain sellers are cheap, reputable, and easy to work with for someone with basically no experience in web hosting
If I *did* buy that domain, yeah it might've still been unused

@box464 ~5 , i've finally convinced myself that there is no shortage of TLD's anymore and even if someone for some reason decides to get the one I wanted for that one project i'll come up with ten others.

But there are still some that are no longer used and so I need to hold on to them forever, just in case.

It's as easy if not easier, and for now I can't say I was let down yet.

So fuck for-pay domains in general, we ought to do without.

I thought about poaching commercial domains in the early 90s, but I understand the way the world works too well.

They just changed the rules so that a little person isn't allowed to "own", say, pepsi.com. Pepsi can simply take it from you.

Otherwise, I've never seen the point.

Yeah, you need some higher tiers...
Over 20 here. Some used to be used for now failed projects. Others were bought for projects that I never got around to.. I have dropped some domains recently, though it's hard as I hate getting rid of anything.. "it'll be useful some day"
