I can’t get over the fact that the richest and most accomplished guys in Silicon Valley have decided the biggest problem facing America is too many non-white people getting ahead and they’re ready to burn it all down because of that.

@xobb @carnage4life they've made up their mind about how the world works but when they go to actually implement their ideology, it all falls apart. Well, it can't be their fault because they and their ideology are perfect, so it must be The Other's fault for sabotaging them.

Since their ideology sucks and will never work, they will constantly always be looking for the Next Other to blame, until there's nobody left and it all implodes.

@carnage4life those of us in tech tend to idolize people like Andreeson because, at an early age, they had or stole one good idea that made them a ton of money. It doesn't mean they are good or virtuous. They, instead, got lucky but refuse to admit that. If they did, they would have to come to grips with the thought that they haven't created anything except wealth for themselves and a few associates.

It is a rather old story. I think it is more apt to say that they want to roll back on the goals of the enlightment in the pursuit of even more personal wealth, i.e. roll back on real knowledge, freedom, and happiness (of others).
