Erasure takes many forms, but this is quite blatant.

@georgetakei

Thx for posting it, I actually wanted to ask the German mastodon community if they have noticed it, that Trump did ban the b after t too.

I am not sure if everything in ends up here now in the news because I realized that the German media is also hiding a lot of stuff that is going on over there.

Or play it down, like it's not that serious.

@ViolaB @georgetakei I think over here in Germany we're too busy fighting our own demons to pay much attention to the US ones. We have a chancellor who compared flying the pride flag πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ on a government building with converting it into a circus tent πŸŽͺ, just to give one example.

@stairjoke @georgetakei

Yes and no. The problem is that the USA is often a role model in politics for Germany and conservative politics are working together and know each other. So if they ban the trans and the bisexual from the queer community and only accept lesbians and gays it is also a problem for our queer community in Europe. The us politics have a definitely a huge impact on the German politics. That's definitely something you can't deny and Merz is following the footsteps of Trump.

@georgetakei

they can erase me from the monument, but i will remain bisexual

@georgetakei
Just a quick idea: Because it seems that nearly nobody in charge learns from the past, we should consiter to erase Trump from our history ...
@georgetakei He was never going to stop at trans people and Latinos.
@MmmCreamy @georgetakei Hitler didn't, either. Get your pink triangle badges at the ready...
@georgetakei
Mentioning anyone but white straight cis men is "woke" and DEI. and goes against the "meritocracy" Doncha' know
