Good alt-txt!
The slightly fascinating bit is that he has the ciggie in his mouth the wrong way round. Didn't see that at first look!
@Alice Love that picture. So much going on.
What is that Bob Ross quote? 'There are no mistakes, just happy little accidents.'

I'll bet you don't need to. Now that I'm older, I can see things in faces that I couldn't see before when I was younger.
> inherit your charm
No one has ever accused me of that before. No.
Here's the thing. I am a very selfish person pretending to be nice.
My daughter is actually, really nice. I just try to act nice, but inside I'm very selfish.
“We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.”
― Kurt Vonnegut, Mother Night
About my daughter. These days she is 37 and has her own cleaning business, but for years she cooked soups, baked muffins and barristad at a cafe in town. She went in at 6 and opened at 7 or so I think. Lot's of regulars and this is a small village of 12k ppl.
I don't have a name here. I am not 'paul', no.
I am simply Gemma's dad. :-)
"Oh, hey! Gemma's dad!"
"How's it goin' eh? Gemmas dad right?"
"Hey - aren't you Gemma's dad?"
"Hi Gemma's dad!"
:-)
So there's that too.
@Kaja
> BTW Did your daughter inherit your charm as well as the kindness?
It's a dangerous combination, since she's already very wise!)
Fair point. I mind the time my best mate marked her as being somewhat 'controlling'.
And, she does know how to make me do things.
I remember a time Gemma remarked that her pregnant co-worker was craving plums.
So I went back to the house and picked her a bunch of plums. She just knew to make me do that by simply mentioning. IDK. Is that controlling?
She said after that she knew I'd do that. IDK.
Sometimes I find the world to be a very confusing space.
