I made a top! It's bad!

I am quite embarrassed about how this turned out and wasn't sure I wanted to post it but this is the reality of someone who's learning, I guess.

The topstitching ruined everything, somehow. The good side was looking SO clean before that, I was actually impressed. Not sure what I did wrong with the topstitch that caused all of *that* at the armholes.

(I will add a tag to cover that disgusting thread mess on the inside of the back)

On the plus side, however, I really like the fit, it's kind of cute when worn. Still hate this fabric though 😆

I don't think this is bad at all, tbh. I got some sewing lessons for my birthday and will start taking them in August - I am sure I won't manage to sew a straight line and I don't even know what a top stitch is. But I will learn and your post gives me courage to start 💙

@loathlylady Aw this is so sweet. Taking sewing lessons sounds so exciting, I'm sure you'll learn tons of new skills!

Even if my top came out weird I still learned a lot, and at the end of the day that's the fun part :)
