Social networks are all about user-generated content, and not about their management being jerks or not. As long as it keeps satisfying my needs, I am going to use it even if their current owner said something stupid online

@Viss @nyan_satan yeah no I'm actively preparing migration out from that platform given how toxic and nasty it's become.
My main challenge is deciding where to move my volunteer org the old Twitter account to, i.e. which Mastodon server would be the most appropriate choice.
It's not a question of will we move, just when and where at this point.

Lots of people in Germany supported VW because it provided something useful to them. You're thinking is way too short term, if you think the benefit of Twitter to you outweighs the harm.

I read it a couple of times before sending it. I like how it reads because it delivers opprobrium to you. I judge that you deserve it for your blasé attitude towards contributing content to a mass manipulation platform bought and operated by a fascist.
Let me be clear, I don't care if you never use Mastodon again. You are doing a bad thing by using Twitter, you know you are not just "using a website," and you're in a place where that will be called out.
